I have always thought that jewelry is the gift that keeps on giving. It is what I have decided to “collect” during our never ending PCS journeys. Each piece reminds me of my favorite moments at each duty station or brings me joy when I am missing the warm sun during a Portsmouth Nor’easter Snow Storm.
Even if my sailor wasn’t here to celebrate my birthday or Mother’s Day (which has been historically been every year), I have always made a point to get myself something that brings me joy from my duty station.
