Born and raised in Washington state, Chelsea is a born and bred Pacific Northwesterner. She proudly fits all major stereotypes of a Seattleite, from her addiction to coffee to her love for the outdoors. Before launching The Submerged Life, Chelsea worked in the PR industry for almost 10 years. Her family recently PCS’d to Norfolk and she looks forward to exploring a new corner of the United States. In Chelsea’s spare time she enjoys Crossfit, raising her toddler and exploring her duty station.

Meagan is a proud, native South Carolinian. She loves tailgates, BBQs, the beach, and sweet tea! Meagan has worked as a nurse for the last 12 years and is currently finishing Nurse Practitioner school- with hopes of graduating this Summer. Meagan loves all things fitness. Her favorite thing is entertaining her 2 year old daughter Eve. She and her family recently PCS’d back to Groton, ready for more New England wine, food, and adventure!

Carolann is a writer who loves reading, hiking, yoga, and traveling. She has a daughter who she loves to take on adventures. Carolann spent five years in a long distance relationship with her submariner before marrying him ….. and PCSing to Hawaii 5 days later! Originally from New York, her favorite duty station is Hawaii, where she worked as a travel blogger. Carolann loves to connect with and support other military spouses. Some of her best friends are other submarine spouses – it’s a bond like no other. She is also passionate about getting outside your comfort zone and trying to make the most out of different duty stations and deployments. During one deployment, she learned how to crochet, which led to her opening up her own Etsy shop. You never know where this life will take you!
Eilish

Currently Stationed: Norfolk, VA
Eilish was raised as a military child. She has moved a total 19 times and nas lived in 15 states. However, she considers Southern California to be “home”. Eilish graduates with her Master of Social Work degree this summer and has worked in various social service careers in multiple states. She is passionate about access to mental health services, particularly with respect to the intersection of the military lifestyle and mental health. Over the past five years, she and her submariner have moved five times and they recently landed near Norfolk, VA. Eilish has two young children, a golden retriever (who thinks she is a lap-dog) and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, backpacking, running, and hiking.

Kamila and her husband recently PCS”d to Charleston with their English Springer Spaniel, Wallace, while previously living in Norfolk. While Kamila hails from the mountains in western Virginia, she looks forward to exploring Charleston and making it home. When she’s not working as a dog handler and trainer, she loves cooking and baking and being outdoors..

Cat is a Seattle native who has been chasing the sun for the past 10 years! Her deployment mantra is “focus on the things you can control.” Cat interests include cooking, going to the beach, and hiking adventures with her four-year-old daughter. She met her submariner at a dive bar while in Honolulu, HI during an internship for graduate school. After graduating, Cat moved to Hawaii to practice physical therapy and reconnected with her submariner and the rest is history. After five deployments in nearly 10 years of marriage, they are now excited to return to Island life!

Allison was born in North Carolina and is a life-long NC State fan. Go Wolfpack! With a master’s degree in social work, she spent time as an advocate in court for children in foster care before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Allison has a two-year-old daughter, another girl due in January, and a yellow lab who all love to keep her busy. In her free time, she loves to crochet, read, and binge Netflix. Her family PCS’d to Hampton Roads earlier this year and they have been enjoying living in Williamsburg. While she loves the area, she dreams that one day they can experience living in Hawaii.

Alexis has been a military spouse for almost 10 years. A native to the West Coast, she has learned to love the Northeast. On days that she doesn’t have activities for the three littles, she loves to explore New England. Her favorite season is Fall and she always look forward to exploring new foliage trails.

Rosemary is originally from San Antonio, TX and is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she was president of the Quidditch team. After graduating she taught five different grade levels, four different subjects, and in three different states. She currently is a stay-at-home mom with two amazing kids. Rosemary loves photography, travel, video games and creative projects. She’s also addicted to her Peloton and decorates obsessively for every holiday. She and her family have moved five times in the last seven years. Each move has provided an opportunity to explore a new place and find all the unique and wonderful things it has to offer. She believes the best part of being a submariner spouse are the friends you make along the way.

Katie, a proud New England native, spent most of her life cozied up in New Hampshire… until she met a submariner at a dive bar who whisked her away for a life of adventure. Ten years later and her husband is still surprising her with new duty stations across the world, and a never-ending, unpredictable schedule- Yay! Recently, Katie traded in her LL Bean slippers for flip flops when she and her family moved to Hawaii. She enjoys exploring the island with her three kids (which is easier when her husband is around), reading a book on the beach (which rarely happens), and getting a full 8 hours of sleep. She is full of sarcasm and thinks the hard days go by a lot faster if you give yourself a little grace.

Liz is a full-time student at the University of Minnesota, studying communications and family social science. After two years of long distance with her sailor, she moved across the country to live with him. Liz hails from a small town in Wisconsin and enjoys a smaller town lifestyle! For fun she enjoys paddle boarding, exploring new duty stations, making friends, playing video games and card games, and watching new movies and tv shows! Liz and her sailor recently celebrated their engagement and PCS’d to Kings Bay, GA.
