Next up in our “5 Things I’m Loving Right Now” series, Kings Bay!
Fernandina Beach

Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island is quickly becoming our favorite little beach oasis – only 45 minutes from Kings Bay! A fun fact about this beach is you can actually drive your car on the sand. There are also several restaurants located on the beach for a quick lunch or dinner. Be sure to read our other blog posts on Amelia Island here.
Savannah

Savannah is such a hidden gem on the East Coast and the perfect day trip from Kings Bay. There is so much to do here. Lunch spots, coffee spots, shopping, history, trolley tours, and so much more. Since moving here four months ago, we’ve been there five times. Our favorite things to do is have lunch at Treylor Park Hitch then do some shopping on Broughton and River Street.
Krazee’s Ice Cream

I am such a sucker for ice cream and usually try to find my favorite place as soon as we arrive at a new duty station. Krazee’s has some very unique choices. You can create almost whatever flavor you want. They do rolled ice cream, ice cream nachos, donut holes, and boba teas.
Downtown St. Marys

Downtown St. Marys is exactly what I would expect a small southern downtown to look like. There are tons of unique shops where you can find anything from antiques and souvenirs to Georgia Bulldogs apparel (GO DAWGS). There are also tons of different restaurants and sweet treat places!
St. Johns Town Center

Need a shopping day? St. John’s Town Center in Jacksonville is the perfect place. It is a massive outdoor mall that has almost any store you could think of! Lego, Pandora, Altar’d State, Levis, Pottery Barn, Lululemon, Talbots, Apple, Louis Vuitton and more. This area also has a huge variety of places to grab dinner! Great examples include True Food Kitchen, The Cheesecake Factory, Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar, Noodles and Company, Bahama Breeze, and Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant.
