Each base has their own Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR) office that has resources for travel, fitness, and local information. Though much of the typical recreation activities on base are closed due to COVID-19, here is a quick list of some lesser known winter offerings from Naval Base Kitsap MWR:
Disc Golf

If you are not familiar with disc golf it is golf played with frisbees. The “golfer” throws the frisbee or flying disc down the fairway aiming at one of the various “holes” typically an elevated metal basket. Once the disc lands in the basket the “hole” is complete. MWR has recently installed a disc golf course at Trident Lakes. Discs can be borrowed from the recreation center or you may bring your own.
