What to Do in Millington This Month: COVID-Friendly Date Night Ideas

The COVID fatigue is real but as military bases begin rolling out vaccination plans along with civilian vaccination programs, I’m optimistic that this time next year we won’t be limited to COVID friendly/HEPCON C compliant date nights.

One of the most exciting things about arriving at a new duty station is exploring date night and family-friendly activities.  Don’t let COVID ruin this!  There’s so much we can safely do and still be within guidelines.  New orders to Millington and plan to arrive soon?  Have you been here for a while now?

While we are still at HEPCON C, but here’s two COVID -friendly date night ideas for this month:

Do you and your sailor love cocktails? Get fancy and learn mixology secrets from the pros!  The Best Shot Company is a private event service that aims to make cocktails, wine, and spirits more accessible for cocktail enthusiasts of all levels. During the month of March, the company is hosting a fun series of weekly virtual cocktail classes ($15/person). Learn the real history behind the pour with an emphasis on people and communities whose expertise is often overlooked or erased from history”.  On the alcohol free journey?  Swap the spirits for some Topo Chico and make a fancy mocktail!
