Booze and coffee? Name a better duo, I’ll wait. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Redhead Bay Café. Located in the heart of Pungo, this small but mighty brunch joint is a place you won’t want to miss. At Redhead Bay Café you can expect a warm welcome, large portions of food, and delicious craft cocktails. There are so many reasons this has become one of the most sought-after brunch joints in town!!

Delicious food, breakfast shots, and large shared cocktails? That sums up Bay Local. There is often an unspoken rivalry between Bay Local and Citrus that seems to be never-ending. Bay Local has two locations: Chicks Beach and off of Laskin Rd. They specialize in decedent brunch items and even have expanded their service into dinner time Thursday-Saturday, offering fresh seafood and a variety of entrees.

Recommendation: The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shot because who says you can’t have your cereal and drink it too? Check out the Big Jumbo Mimosa (1.5 bottles of champagne), a great way to share a drink with friends.

Around the corner from the Shore Drive Bay Local location is Citrus. While the two establishments often clash, you cannot go wrong with a yummy brunch, good drinks, and a menu using local produce. Founded in 2012, Citrus has been serving the 757 with classic breakfast menu items and they even have an impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Citrus also has an excellent kid friendly menu!!

Recommendation: The Mexican Coffee or one of their 20+ bubbly cocktail drinks.

The Rustic Spoon is one of the up and coming most popular brunch spots in Virginia Beach. A short drive from Chicks and located off of Pleasure House Road, this brunch spot has something for every taste bud. Whether the stuffed French toast, delicious chicken and waffles, or something more traditional, eggs, bacon, and toast,

The Bee and the Biscuit

Located in downtown Pungo lies The Bee and the Biscuit. Perhaps one of the 757s most well known breakfast and brunch eateries. Be prepared for a wait, this popular restaurant is well worth the wait. Smack-dab in the middle of farm country, they serve quality fresh produce grown by local farmers. They restaurant offers cozy fireside seating in the cool months, and a shady outdoor deck in the warmer months. Grab a famous cinnamon roll and a coffee from Sawdust Road next door while you wait.
