Springtime in Washington state can feel dark and rather bleak. But with less than 100 days to summer (oh those glorious, PNW summers), you may be wanting to shape up or hone-in on your eating habits. Or, you just appreciate a big salad and a fresh smoothie!
But regardless of your motivation, Kitsap County is home to some great eateries (hot tip: join the Kitsap County Dining group on Facebook).
Here are six spots for fresh and healthy food:
Greens On Your Way

With three convenient locations in Poulsbo and Silverdale, Greens On Your Way is a great healthy spot in North Kitsap County. As their name suggests, the cafe offers a variety of fresh salads, smoothies and small bites. Choose from their signature menu or build your own with mix and match dressings and toppings.
MOVE

MOVE is a new smoothie and juice bar located in the heart of Silverdale, inside the Seattle Lighting Plaza. The cafe serves up the freshest and healthiest açaí bowls, shakes, smoothies, protein waffles, coffee and more. Added bonus? They’re only 12 minute drive from base. Go check them out!
Maxx Nutrition

With two locations in Poulsbo and Silverdale, Maxx Nutrition focuses their business on the principle that natural, organic, high quality and purity are necessary for people to attain the best ability to afford themselves with highest quality of life. The cafe and vitamin shop sells fresh, organic smoothies as well as prepared meals.
The Salad Shack

The Salad Shack has two locations in Bremerton and Belfair! The cafe offers a variety of house and seasonal salads, from classic Caesar and cobb to taco and Greek. There’s also speciality sandwiches, soups and more.
Sol Nutrition

Located in downtown Port Orchard, Sol Nutrition is a fun and healthy option in south Kitsap County. The shop serves up protein shakes, protein waffles, açaí bowls, green tea energy drinks, free meal planning, coaching and so much more. They also host a 21 day body transformation challenge every month!
Sue’s Fresh Juice Bar and Sandwich Shop

Another Port Orchard option, Sue’s Fresh Juice Bar and Sandwich Shop is the perfect lunch spot! They offer artisan sandwiches (my husband loved the reuben), fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. The shop also shares their space with an embroidery store and gift shop featuring handmade goods from local artisans.
