Q: Tell us about your business.
At Brick Ally, we buy, trade, and sell new and used LEGO products. We have LEGO sets, pieces, minifigures, and so much more. Looking for inspiration, fun, or information on LEGO? We have it! We have no direct affiliation with the LEGO Group except for loving their products, culture, and quality.
Q: What made you choose this type of business?
Our whole family loves LEGO. My husband and I met at the first independent LEGO shop I started. He was in the STA-21 program and I was getting my BA in business. Our mutual love of LEGO not only brought us together, but continued to bring us closer over time.
Q: What motivated you to start your business?
When the husband goes on patrol, I have too much free time on my hands. My thought was that I could be more active while he is gone, while also making money for myself.
Q: How do you manage the work/life balance as a military spouse?
Coffee. Lots of coffee.
Q: Any advice for fellow milspouses who want to start their own business?
Do it! Take a chance! Some businesses are short lived, some last for years. Trying is the only way to figure out which one your idea may be.
Q: Favorite thing(s) to do in your current duty station?
Explore the beautiful PNW and build LEGO =)
Q: Where can we support and learn more about your business?
