
Happy New Year! For our friends stationed in Groton, CT, don’t let the winter doldrums get you down. Even though the holidays are behind us, Southeastern Connecticut is nothing short of sparkle and fun with so many fun seasonal events.
Here’s five events happening this weekend:
Go Ice Skating at Foxwoods

Christmas may have come and gone, but the Ice Rink and Winter Terrace at Foxwoods is still up and running! Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Skate rentals cost $12 or $22 combo (skates and admission) for adults. Hours are 12pm-10pm on Saturdays and 12pm-8pm on Sundays. Check out their themed heated igloos, accompanied by food and drink menus.
Shop at The Niantic Winter Market

The Niantic Farmers Market moves indoors for the winter season! Join them at the Smith’s Acres Greenhouse for great local food and crafts. The market is open Saturdays from 2-5pm!
Bop at a Taylor Swift Party

Swifties, assemble! This Friday, Jan. 6 don’t miss the Taylor Swift Party at Strange Brew Pub in Norwich. Celebrate all things T-Swift with a DJ spinning her catalogue all night, themed cocktails and more! Admission is $10 per person (21+) and runs from 6pm-9:30pm.
Sing Your Heart Out at The Disney Karaoke Party

Disney lovers, rejoice! This Saturday, Jan. 7, Strange Brew Pub in Norwich is hosting the ultimate Disney Karaoke Party! Enjoy a themed karaoke party celebrating the magical world of Disney. Admission is $5 per person (21+) iwith music starting at 8:30pm.
Dazzle at Disney on Ice

Disney fun for littles is also available this weekend! Head over to Hartford for the touring Disney On Ice: “Letโs Celebrate” skates into town this weekend! Hosted by Mickey and Minnie, go on an adventure through 14 of the greatest Disney stories ever told. Tickets start at $15!
