Four Local Coffee Shops to Try on Oahu

No matter where you are stationed, try to get out and support your local caffeine dealer! Whether you need a quiet place to catch up on sending your submariner email updates or a little pick-me -up to make it through car pick up line, these local coffee shops offer delicious coffee with a little local flare.

Pō‘ai by Pono Potions

1119 Smith Street, Honolulu, HI

Serving up handcrafted coffee creations using all-natural artisan Hawaiian syrups highlighting the flavors of Hawai’i. The in house crafted syrups can be purchased at the shop. They make the perfect gift for the upcoming holidays or for a friend that has moved off island and missing the taste of the islands.

Green World Coffee Farm

71-101 Kamehameha Hwy, Wahiawa, HI 96786

Green World Coffee Farm was established in 2013 and prides itself on roasting all their coffee at the Farm. The coffee garden allows you to see where your coffee comes from and perfect place for a playdate to let the kiddos roam. It is the perfect first stop for a treat when showing visiting friends and family around the North Shore.

Hana Tea

111 Dillingham Blvd, Unit E-2, Honolulu, HI 96817, 1160 Kuala Street, Unit 204, Pearl City, HI 96782

With a cult following Hana Tea has two locations for coffee bubble tea fix. Hana Tea strives to bring fun authentic flavors and textures to this Taiwanese treat. All drinks are customizable with fun toppings like mini boba and Dalgona Crunch. I love that you can adjust the sweetness level as well. My favorite was coffee milk tea with mini boba and creamy cake. My daughter loves to order a strawberry smoothie with mini boba.

ARVO

324 Coral Street at SALT, Honolulu, HI

ARVO was founded to create culture around art, music and community. It is the perfect place a coffee date or brunch with Instagram worthy food offerings such as smoked salmon toast and their famous lavender latte.
