Your Guide to Farmers Markets Near Bangor

One of my favorite things to do at a new duty station is explore area farmers markets. What better way to familarize yourself with the region? Here in Washington state, more than half a dozen farmers markets in Kitsap County just opened for the season! The markets typically last through September, with some running as late as November or December.

Many markets offer waterfront views, live music, food trucks, free exercises classes and other fun demonstrations. Here’s a helpful list to get you started:

Tuesdays

Silverdale Farmers Market

When: Sundays and Tuesdays, 10am-3pm, April-September

Thursdays

Bremerton Community Farmers Market

When: Thursdays, 4pm-7pm, April-September

When: Thursdays, 1pm-7pm, June-August (opens June 2)

Bainbridge Island Farmers Market
