Your Guide to Fall Fun in Hampton Roads

While this month we’ve seen temperatures well into the upper 90s, the fall season officially kicks off this Saturday! If you’re new to the Hampton Roads area, here is your ultimate guide to pumpkin patches, farms, festivals, Halloween events and more!

Pumpkin Patches & Farms

Hunt Club Farm returns with their “Harvest Fair” Sept. 30-Oct. 31st! Kids will enjoy a huge straw pile, pony and hayrides, carnival rides and a live DJ on the weekends. The farm will also have plenty of fun photo ops. General admission is $18 per person (children under are free), with additional charges for animal experiences.

Cullipher Farm is back open this season with fun fall activities beginning Sept. 29th through October 29th. The farm offers u-pick sunflower fields and apple orchards (open now), corn maze, pumpkin patch, hayrides, and a play area. For the latest updates, follow their FB page.

All the fall fun returns to Greenbrier Farms Sept. 16-Oct. 31st! Enjoy the 15-acre pumpkin patch, kids corn maze ($5), festival games (tickets available for purchase), hayrides and more. Greenbrier will also have their ongoing free bouncy houses, sunflowers and wildflower fields, playground and barnyard animals. On Saturdays and Sundays (9am-6pm) parking will be $10. Beginning Sept. 15 through Oct. 31st, Great Bridge Pumpkin Patch will be offering pumpkins and gourds, an outdoor playland and hayirdes right off North Battlefield in Chesapeake.

Hickory Ridge Farm’s “Fall Festival” kicks off Sept. 16-Oct. 30th! The farm offers a huge variety of pumpkins via their farm stand and u-pick patch. Festival activities include a play area, children’s corn maze, bouncy houses, hayrides, barrel train, pony rides, u-pick sunflowers, farm animals, hay stack and slide and more! A live DJ will also spin tunes on the weekends.

Mount Pleasant Farms returns their Fall Festival this October! At time of publication we can’t find updated information, but keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates on their pumpkin patch, mums and more.

Baker Acres reopens for the season on September 30th, 10am-6pm! Enjoy a corn maze scavenger hunt, pre-picked and u-pick pumpkins, mums and gourds, sunflowers, corn stalks, and a farm play area. For more updates, check their Facebook page.

Sweethaven Lavender Farm is hosting “Sweethaven Harvest” this fall with seasonal fun during the day and night. Enjoy autumn air and farm vistas of pumpkins, zinnias, gourds, sunflowers, and decorative corn (available for purchase to enhance your home dรฉcor). Savor lavender cotton candy, lavender ice cream, fall spiced lavender cold-brew lattes, caramel popcorn, and more fall-themed treats during your visit. Tickets must be purchased online!
